DiverseCity

The DiverseCity programme is a series of events, workshops and tours which explore diversity in Belfast today.

Decades of Centenaries

The period form 1912-1922 witnessed some dramatic changes. Our Decades of Centenaries programme commemorates this decade of key historical moments and events that shaped Northern Ireland and Ireland during this time.

Conflict and Trauma : From 'Shell Shock' to PTSD and Beyond

Wednesday 22nd May 2019 from 2-4pm @ Omagh Library

This Workshop, directed by Dr. Migel Hunt, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Applied Psychology in the Scholl of Medicine. University of Nottingham, provides an introduction as to how trauma has been understood since WW1. It offers a wide range of primary soources, and encourages participants to think about how they could devise their own reminders of the aftermath and legacies of conflict on society. All participants will be provided with a reserach huide and bibliography to take away with them.
